I did my undergraduate work in Tulsa, OK and received my Bachelors degree in Accounting.  I graduated from the UNM Anderson School with my MBA in the fall of 2011.   My team won 2nd place in the technology competition and the $10,000.00 prize that went with it.

I am enrolled in the education leadership program at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and have completed 51 credit hours out of the 60 needed in the Doctorate program.  I hope to finish in the fall of 2016 with my degree.

My career began at Wells Fargo Bank where I worked in compliance, auditing and loan review.  I later worked for two community banks; First National Bank of Santa Fe and First American Bank in Southern NM.  I currently work as CEO at Southwest Federal Credit Union here in Albuquerque, a credit union that offers full service banking at three locations.  (www.sfcunm.org)

I have taught part-time over the years at CNM, our local community college with over 26,000 students.  Courses taught include accounting, economics, consumer lending, business math, consumer banking and QuickBooks.   I also have taught a class at the UNM Anderson School for the EMBA program.

I served many years as the President of Carson Grande Homeowner’s Association, a neighborhood in Old Town where I now live and also own rental properties.

I also served as President of the Apartment Association of New Mexico in 2000, I am a partner/owner of a 78 unit apartment complex near UNM and CNM and we are still members of the Apartment Association. We also own a 46 unit apartment complex near Comanche and Carlisle.  (www.universitystudioapartments.com)

I serve on the Board of the non-profit Mother Road Theater Company, a non-profit theater company in Albuquerque, NM. (www.motherroad.org)

My goal the last few years has been to see as much of the world as possible; my traveling group has toured Egypt, England, Canada, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, China, Mexico, Spain, Greece, Italy, Tunisia, Ecuador, Turkey, India, Vietnam, Peru, Thailand, Japan and Morocco.  During our travels, we found a beautiful home on the beach that we purchased in Kino Bay, Sonora.  It is a lovely place to do nothing, but watch the sun set over the Baja.
